about

Farmhands and Masters [Rod Puddefoot]
Rod “Wag” Puddefoot, squire of Aldbury Morris, wrote this song in the early 1980s as part of a trilogy about the effect of the First World War on his village. James sings it in memory of his grandfather Ken Fagan, a skilled farm labourer and former British artillery soldier who emigrated in 1957 to Australia.
